What are
the benefits to earning an AA or AS degree?
Congratulations on receiving your Associate’s Degree! Since you have already completed your Associate of Arts
or Associate of Science degree from an accredited college, Dana wants to make earning your bachelor’s degree even easier. Dana recognizes the hard work you have done
to earn this degree and wants to reward you for your efforts.
The following coursework, known as Dana’s Baseline
Competencies, will be automatically waived from your
graduation requirements:
• Foreign Language (up to 6 credit hours)
• Mathematics (up to 6 credit hours)
• Written Communication (up to 6 credit hours)
• Oral Communication (3 credit hours)
• Wellness Concepts (1 credit hour)
This allows many of our transfer
students to focus on
their major academic area of study during their first semester
at Dana and earn their bachelor’s degree within two
years.
If you have received and Associate of Applied Science degree, a course-by-course
evaluation will be done upon the receipt of your official college transcripts.
Although you will not qualify for an automatic waiver of the Baseline Competencies,
your previous coursework may replace some or all of these requirements.
