Tips for a successful transfer:

Know how your courses will transfer. Dana completes a course-by-course evaluation of your transcripts after you are accepted for admission. You will receive this credit evaluation to use as you prepare for your advising appointment to register for classes.

Visit campus. At Dana, you’ll get a full campus tour and meet faculty, coaches, program directors and current Dana students. Join us on the First Friday of each month to meet with the Financial Aid and Scholarship Director, the Registrar, Admissions Counselor, take a tour of campus and be our guest for lunch.

Plan to live on-campus! You may have already “done the dorm thing” or have your own roommate horror story to share. Here, living on-campus is the best way to meet people and get involved at Dana and studies show that your grades will be better as well.

If you plan to attend a community college for two years, earn your Associate’s degree. Dana will waive our baseline requirements if you have earned your Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree from an accredited institution, meaning you will graduate from here quicker as well.

For athletes, be aware of eligibility requirements! Many things can affect athletic eligibility but there are often solutions if you inform us here at Dana early enough. Do not hesitate to ask our Transfer Counselor about your NAIA eligibility status.

Ask lots of questions. We’re with you all the way and here to help!

When should I start getting these things done?
