How will my credits
transfer? Generally, a course taken at a regionally
accredited college or university, in which the content and depth is similar to
a course taught at Dana, will be accepted for transfer.
- Dana will accept up to 64 semester
hours of college credit for students transferring from community colleges.
We will also accept up to 96 semester hours of college credit
from four-year colleges, or from a combination of community
and four-year colleges, respectively. Either way, you must
complete the final 32 semester hours
of our 128-semester-hour degree requirement at Dana (a minimum of 15 semester hours
of this must be taken in your major field of study).
- Courses with grades below “C-” will
not satisfy general education or major requirements. Grades
of “D” are transferable within the first 64 semester
hours if you have an Associate of Arts and/or Associate of
Science degree. Grades for credit accepted in transfer are
compiled separately on your Dana transcript. Upon graduation
from Dana, your final transcript will reflect both the transfer
GPA and the Dana GPA, with a cumulative computation of the
two GPAs.
- An Associate of Arts or Associate
of Science degree will confer junior status upon you.
- Credit transfer is determined on an individual
basis by the Dana College Registrar. You will receive a transcript
evaluation upon your acceptance to Dana. Transfer credit
evaluations will not reflect courses in progress.
