With the information landscape changing all the time, finding valid academic sources is a constant challenge. The Reference Librarian can teach students skills and techniques to become successful researchers. The Reference Librarian is available to provide instruction sessions for students in the Library or at other locations on campus. The sessions can be tailored to specific assignments. The librarian will review how best to frame a research topic into a searchable question; how to evaluate sources critically; how to use the information obtained most effectively; and how to deal with the legal and ethical aspects of information, such as plagiarism and copyright.
Please contact Eric Petersen if you would like to schedule an instruction session for your class here at Dana.
