The Vikings are part of the Great Plains Athletic Conference for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II where they compete in basketball, cross country, soccer, and track & field for men and women; baseball, football, and wrestling for men; and golf, volleyball, and softball for women. Women's lacrosse, men's golf, and dance & cheer will be offered beginning in Fall 2009, plus men's and women's bowling in 2010.

Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The education and social work programs are accredited by the National Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Council on Social Work Education, respectively.
