Continuing Your Success

Dana College is excited to work with homeschool students such as you in the next stage of your education.

Dana's current student enrollment is slightly more than 600 students and the typical class size is 14 students. Our small size means that you will continue to receive the same personal attention and intimate learning environment you now enjoy at home.

Dana is located in Blair, Nebraska (population 7,500), a safe, small town environment. As a church-related school affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Dana provides a full-time campus pastor and regular weekly chapel services open to students of all faiths.

Applying to Dana

Applying to Dana is easy. You will be asked to submit a completed application form (there is no application fee), an ACT composite score of 18 or a combined SAT score of 860, a signed parental transcript, plus one of the following:

  • A transcript from a high school or college where courses were taken for credit,
  • A GED (with an average score of 500 or above),
  • A portfolio of representative work.

Transcripts developed by homeschool associations or by the primary teacher are accepted. All transcripts should include the course name with the grade you received. A final grade point average is required. The number of credits received for the course is recommended, but not required.

A homeschool student portfolio should include a variety of representative course work including papers, exams, projects and a letter from you and/or your parent describing the home schooling program.
