Campus Visits
At Dana College we believe the best way to learn about any college is to visit it and we want you to visit us! We will personalize your campus visit to your interests so you can make the most of your time here. Nothing can take the place of a visit to our beautiful campus! Your campus visit can be as long as 3-4 hours or as short as your time allows. Tours last approximately one hour. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes.

Individual visits are welcome Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. We prefer that you give us two or three weeks notice in order to accommodate your specific interests.

Meet with an Admissions Counselor
Our Admissions Counselors are ready to share Dana with you and answer your questions. While they will spend a lot of time telling you about Dana College, you can expect that your Admissions Counselor will also want to learn about your interests and accomplishments.

Meet with a Faculty member
By meeting with a faculty member in the academic area of your interest, you will learn about what we expect from our students academically and what makes that particular major unique at Dana College. Our faculty want to get to know who you are and share with you how Dana College can help you realize your educational goals. Just let us know what academic area(s) interests you and we’ll schedule it for you.

Meet with an Activity Director
Are you in choir? Do you play an instrument? Have you wanted to participate in musical theatre, but didn’t have the chance? Do you want to continue playing your sport on the intercollegiate level? If so, let us know, so we can make appointments for you to meet with faculty in performing arts and/or the coach of your sport. If you would like to meet with any other offices on campus, we are ready to schedule those appointments for you.

The Campus Tour
The student-guided campus tour will help you to experience and understand the community spirit that exists at Dana. You'll get the scoop on our academic facilities and a few historical notes about the campus, and maybe a personal anecdote or two. You'll also tour a residence hall.

Lunch in the Dana College Dining Hall
You and your family/friends are invited to be our guests in the dining hall and have a chance to meet and see our students.

Dates to Avoid
To ensure the most productive and beneficial visit for you, here is a list of dates to avoid. During these times, either students are in examinations or on vacation, or offices and residence halls are closed.

March 17-21, 2008 Dana College Spring Break
May 12-16, 2008 Final Exams
May 26, 2008 Memorial Day
July 4, 2008 Independence Day

By Car

From Omaha
Take Hwy 75 North to Blair. Turn LEFT on to Washington Street. Turn RIGHT onto 19th Street. Turn LEFT onto Wright Street. Wright Street becomes College Drive. Continue on College Drive. Just past 28th Street, the Office of Admissions and visitors’ parking is on your right. The campus will be on your left.

Take Hwy 133 North to Hwy 30 East. Follow Hwy 30 East to downtown Blair to the intersection of Washington & 19th Streets. Proceed through the intersection on 19th Street (also Hwy 75 North) to Wright Street. Turn LEFT onto Wright Street. Wright Street becomes College Drive. Continue on College Drive. Just past 28th Street, the Office of Admissions and visitors’ parking is on your right. The campus will be on your left.

From the East (including Missouri Valley, Iowa)
Follow Hwy 30 West to Blair. Once in Blair, Hwy 30 becomes Washington Street. Proceed through downtown to 19th Street. Turn RIGHT onto 19th Street. Turn LEFT onto Wright Street. Wright Street becomes College Drive. Continue on College Drive. Just past 28th Street, the Office of Admissions and visitors’ parking is on your right. The campus will be on your left.

From the West (Norfolk area)
Take Hwy 275 South to Hwy 77 South to Hwy 30 East. Follow Hwy 30 East to downtown Blair to the intersection of Washington & 19th Streets. Proceed through the intersection on 19th Street (also Hwy 75 North) to Wright Street. Turn LEFT onto Wright Street. Wright Street becomes College Drive. Continue on College Drive. Just past 28th Street, the Office of Admissions and visitors’ parking is on your right. The campus will be on your left.

From the North (Sioux Falls, S.D.)
Take I-29 South to Exit 75/Hwy 30 West. Follow Hwy 30 to Blair. Once in Blair, Hwy 30 becomes Washington Street. Proceed through downtown to 19th Street. Turn RIGHT onto 19th Street. Turn LEFT onto Wright Street. Wright Street becomes College Drive. Continue on College Drive. Just past 28th Street, the Office of Admissions and visitors’ parking is on your right. The campus will be on your left.

By Air
Daily flights arrive at and depart from Eppley Airfield, Omaha’s international airport. Dana College is located approximately 30 minutes north of it. Follow the airport exit signs to Hwy 75 North through Omaha. Continue on Hwy 75 to Blair. Turn LEFT on to Washington Street. Turn RIGHT onto 19th Street. Turn LEFT onto Wright Street. Wright Street becomes College Drive. Continue on College Drive. Just past 28th Street, the Office of Admissions and visitors’ parking is on your right. The campus will be on your left.
