Dana College students may choose to major in Art, Art Education or Interactive Media (iMedia). Art and Art Education majors take a variety of studio courses in ceramics, drawing, design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Art majors have the latitude to focus on a studio area of their choice. Any student admitted to Dana College may pursue an art major.

The iMedia program is unlike any program in the region, focusing on the creative use of web-based technology. iMedia majors study and practice design theory, image-making, typography, interactivity, navigation and the use of audio and motion through hands-on, web-based practice.

Senior iMedia majors take a capstone course where study in the concentration area serves as the focus for a semester-long, "real life" web design project. The possibilities are limited only by your individual goals and imagination!

Students must be accepted into the iMedia program. Acceptance is based on a minimum GPA of 3.0 and ACT score of 20. Students who do not meet this standard may take a year of art courses and petition for acceptance into the major in their sophomore year.
