Athletes of the Week
The Dana College Sports Information
Office and Viking Leadership Council are proud to announce Jason
Bilinski (SR, Pittsgrove, NJ) and Brandon Terry (SO, Omaha,
NE) as the athletes of the week.
Jason Bilinski – Wrestling
Bilinski claimed the 157 pound
championship at the North Regional Wrestling tournament over the
weekend. Bilinski won his 100th career match in the
semi-finals. In the regional tournament, Bilinski recorded his
21st pin on the season, which broke the school record. He also clinched a birth in the NAIA national wrestling
tournament next week at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
Brandon Terry – Track
Terry placed sixth in the GPAC
conference track meet in Lincoln, Nebraska in the 60 meter dash. His
time of 7.12 set a new Dana College indoor track mark. The mark was
originally set in 2005 by Eric Jones. With his sixth place finish,
Terry earned all-conference honors.
