Athletes of the Week

The Dana College Sports Information Office and Viking Leadership Council are proud to announce the Dana College wrestling team as the athletes of the week. 

Dana Wrestling

The Vikings repeated as the 2007-2008 GPAC regular season and tournament wrestling champions.  The Vikings featured five individual champions and two other medalists last weekend.  Dana finished the regular season with 8-4 overall record and a 5-1 dual record within conference.  Jason Bilinski (SR, Pittsgrove, NJ), Ryan Tuzon (JR, Mauii, HI), Burke Barnes (SR, Lake Stevens, WA), Adam Manz (SO, Council Bluffs, IA), and Kevin Gray (SR, Topeka, KS) all earned individual titles and first team all conference honors.  Wade Jordan (SR, Coulee City, WA), who was injured for the conference meet, was named to the GPAC second team.  Ross Milam (JR, Omaha, NE) earned honorable mention honors and placed third in the GPAC meet.  Tony Ponce (Derby, KS) claimed fourth place at the GPAC tournament.
