Biology is literally the study of life. And that's pretty hard to do in an auditorium classroom with 400 other students, where your closest relationship is with your textbook.

Dana's Biology Department takes a different approach. Our students explore life through observation and experiments, with advanced students developing and conducting their own research. You'll take soil samples to find the effects of pollution firsthand and journal about your time watching birds for Orinthology class. Your classmates will become your teammates, and your professors will become mentors you'll keep for life.

Our graduates prove that our approach is a better way. Confident and capable thinkers, they go on to success in the business world, as well as graduate and medical school. Because we nurtured their love for science in college, they are able to keep that love for the rest of their lives.
