BOOKSTORE POLICIES
TEXTBOOK
POLICIES
Textbook information, including ISBN numbers,
will not be given over the telephone.
Textbooks are available in the store at least one week before
the beginning of the term. The Dana College Bookstore does sell
all of the required materials for courses on the Dana College campus.
We do stock many used titles depending on availability.
Textbooks for the Fall Semester are available the middle of August.
Arrangement
Textbooks are located in a U-shaped area in the southwest corner of the
Bookstore. They are arranged according to the first five numbers
on a student's schedule. Each textbook has a shelf tag that hangs
beneath the textbook and lists the number of texts required for each
course. LARP books and Senior Seminar books are located at the end
of the aisles.
Advantage of Buying Textbooks at the Dana Bookstore
- You know you are getting the exact editions and package that the
instructor has ordered.
- No waiting period for shipment.
- Many titles are available used at 75% of the new book price.
- Should you need to return your book, within the terms of the
refund policy , your refund is immediate.
- The money you spend stays on campus and is returned to the Dana
College scholarship fund.
When a Title You Need Has Run Out
Please check with a staff person to make certain there aren't any
copies elsewhere in the Bookstore. If not, the Bookstore offers a
special order service. Simply fill out the special order card with
the textbook information from the shelf tag and your name and campus
mailbox number. Bring the completed card to the cash register.
The new price will be charged for the special order, but a refund from
new to used will be given if a used text is received. A card will
be put in your campus mailbox when the book is at the Dana Bookstore.
Bring the card to one of the Bookstore staff, and they will get your
book for you.
Textbook Returns
1. NEW Textbooks must be in NEW condition (unmarked and
shrink-wrapped if applicable).
2. All books must have the original price sticker.
3. The correct Dana Bookstore cash register receipt MUST be presented to receive
a refund. Textbooks that were purchased with a credit card can only be
refunded to that credit card. Bookstore charge sheet purchases
will only be refunded to the student account.
4. Books must be returned within 6 business days from the first
day of the semester (dates are posted). For interim and summer
school, the deadline is by close of business on the second day of the
term.
5. LARP books can only be returned within the stated return period if
LARP has been dropped. A completed add/drop or change of
registration form from the Registrar's Office is required.
6. Identify your books with special markings after the first six days
of class.
