Dana Mentors are alumni and friends of the college who would like
to help Dana students as they begin to think about developing their
careers. Dana Mentors enable current students to be in contact with
a working alum or friend of the college to ask questions about occupations
and job searching.
- When a person agrees to be a Dana Mentor, they
may choose to participate in any one or all of the following
activities:
- Personal
conversation with a student by telephone about their career
- Meeting
with a group of students for conversation about their career
- Being
a part of a panel discussion about careers
- Giving a talk on their
field to a group of students
- Participating in other career-related
events at Dana
- Advising Dana's Career Services office
A Dana Mentor will be asked
in advance about their willingness to participate on any occasion.
Mentors are free to decline at
any time. A mentor
may be called upon several times a year, and there may also be a year
when there
happen
to
be no requests.
To volunteer to participate in the Dana Mentors
program, contact the Career Services office at 402 426-7258 or
fill out our form
