Dana College has a 4-1-4 academic calendar consisting of two 15-week semesters and a three-week Discovery Term in January. The Fall Semester begins late in August and ends in December. The Spring Semester begins late in January and concludes near the middle of May.

Classes are regularly scheduled Monday through Friday during the semesters with a class day extending from 8:00 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. Occasionally classes meet in the evening.
