The Art program at Dana College provides a balanced foundation for
mature investigation of the practical, theoretical and historical
aspects of the visual arts. Courses are offered both for the student
who desires background experience in creative work as part of a liberal
arts education, and for the student preparing for advanced studio
art study. There are no special requirements for admission to the
Art program, although a portfolio review is required for scholarship
consideration.
The Interactive Media Major at Dana College offers courses in
web-based interactive media, traditional art and design, and an area
of concentration. iMedia majors have the opportunity to create web-based
projects and develop multimedia skills, gaining the experience to
quickly and effectively learn new technologies and use them in creative,
cutting edge ways.
