The Business program at Dana College consists of an in-depth study
of business functions and operations; the economic, social and legal
environment of business; quantitative methods and information systems;
organization theory and interpersonal behavior; administrative processes
and policy; and the global dimension of business, providing a liberal
blend of the theoretical and practical tools necessary to develop
and pursue successful careers in the business, academic, and non-profit
sectors.

An introduction to the use of statistical techniques in business. Emphasis
is placed on the practical application of quantitative techniques in solving
business, accounting, and economic problems.

BUS 209 Introduction
to Transpersonal Psychology 3 credits
The course will take an in-depth, transpersonal look at abraham Maslow's seven
levels of Hierarchical Needs using research from Carl Jung, Ernest Holmes,
the Cayce foundation, the New Testament, and others. Emphasis will be on the
transpersonal behavioral and cultural environment of the individual entity
as well as of the corporate entity. Specifically it will look at the two entity's
perception of spirituality and the behavior that culture fosters; ethical and
unethical. The student will be encouraged to take a critical and historical
look at his/her own belief structure. (Cross-listed as PSY 209)
Prerequisite: Sophomore standing or permission of the instructor.

This course is designed to educate the students in the arts and principles
of entrepreneurship. Although it is primarily for those who would
like to someday start and be successful in running their own business,
it will assist any student who wants to know more about the sole
proprietorship and small partnership types of business.

This course provides students with a set of moral principles that guide behavior

BUS 459 Business Internship
1-4 credits
An integrating experience designed to help the student to synthesize knowledge
of theory in practical application. A minimum of 40 hours of work supervised
by a cooperating employer and a business faculty member is required per credit
earned. A maximum of 4 credits allowed toward the major, 8 credits maximum
toward degree.
Prerequisites: Business major, junior standing, 2.5 GPA,
and permission of department chair.

An opportunity to develop skills and/or conduct an in-depth study in specialized
areas. The student will plan and carry out the project under the direct supervision
