Federal Work-Study and Campus Employment | Community Employment

Federal Work-Study and Campus Employment
Both employment programs provide funds for part-time, on campus work. Most students working on campus are Federal Work Study eligible. A limited amount of Federal Work Study funding will be available for off-campus community service work approved by the college.

A variety of work opportunities are available with most awards ranging from $500-$1500 (4-12 hours per week). Federal Work Study positions pay the federal minimum wage or more, with payment to the student made monthly, based on the hours worked in the previous month. Funds are awarded based on financial need, skills related to work, and availability of funds. Preference is given to students who show the greatest need, have met the March 15th Priority Date, and have completed the interview selection process.

First-time students receiving Federal Work Study will be assigned a campus job prior to enrollment. Students who have been awarded Federal Work Study funds will be expected to complete an employment application in order to receive a job assignment. Current campus employment recipients are required to individually pursue their own employment for the following academic year.

There are a limited number of institutional funded positions available to students without regard to a student’s need. Please contact the Information Center Coordinator at 426- 7387 for Federal Work Study and institutionally funded job postings.
