Federal need-based aid is made available to help students whose
families are not capable of providing for the full cost of their
education and who show potential for success. As mentioned under
Application Procedures, a student’s eligibility for need-based
aid is determined by completing the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA). Continuation of need-based federal aid requires
the completion of the FAFSA each year.
In the event that the College’s level of federal or state
funding is reduced, the College reserves the right to adjust the
amount of financial aid already awarded.
Federal Pell Grant
Federal Pell grants for the 2003-2004 academic year range from $400 - $4050.
Before funds will be credited to a student’s account, the Financial
Aid Office must receive official FAFSA results from the federal processor.
There is no requirement to be enrolled Full-time in order to receive
Pell Grant Funds. However, a student’s Pell Grant is prorated
for less than full time enrollment. Enrollment for Pell and other
Federal grants is defined as follows:
Full-time Enrollment
Defined as enrollment in 12+ credit hours in a given semester
_-time Enrollment

_-time Enrollment
