This program is designed to prepare for life and work in a global
society by increasing knowledge of world cultures and current issues,
offering experience abroad and helping students become effective
communicators in multicultural settings.
The international studies major prepares students for possible careers
in fields such as international mass media, government service, multi-national
business and trade, international religious service, global environmental
and medical research/service, and graduate study, etc.
The program is flexible and integrates the study of history, geography,
religion, as well as language and culture, communication and business.
Students may choose from emphasis areas in history, religion/philosophy,
international business and languages.
