First-year students may apply for admission to the Morton Scholars
Program at the beginning of their second semester.
Qualifications include:
- High school grade point average of 3.5 or above;
- composite ACT/SAT score of 26/1170 or above;
- letter of recommendation from their academic advisor or another
faculty member at Dana College;
- personal interview or submitted essay on reasons for wanting
to become a Morton Scholar;
- a 3.5 minimum cumulative GPA upon completion of the first semester
as a full-time student at Dana College.
Continuing Dana students, or transfer students from other accredited
institutions, may apply for admission to the Morton Scholars Program
no later than the beginning of their Junior year.
Qualifications include:
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above for their college
careers;
- Letter of recommendation from their academic advisor or another
faculty member at Dana College;
- Approval of the application by the Morton Scholars Program Advisory
Council.
