Change of Registration
Advising and Course Selection
Registration includes the student’s selection of courses recorded
in the Registrar’s Office. Validation is the payment of all
term costs. Students are permitted to enter classes only after completing
registration with the Registrar and meeting financial commitments
in the Business Office. Students failing to validate at the appropriate
time are assessed a late fee. Students may not enter a course after
the first week of the fall or spring term. During Discovery Term,
students may not enter a class after two sessions of the class have
been held.
At registration, students accept all terms and conditions set forth
in this catalog, the current Course Offerings booklet, the Student
Handbook, and official supplements to this catalog. The students
will be expected to have taken care of, or to have made arrangements
for, all financial obligations to the College (including the payment
of all outstanding fines) before they will be permitted to complete
the registration process and enroll in courses.
Change of Registration
All changes of registration require advisor approval. The last day to make
changes (drop/add) without academic record is the fifth day of the semester
(or equivalent for shorter terms). Drop/adds may be completed directly with
the advisor, or through the Registrar’s Office using the Change of
Registration form. After the last day to drop/add, all changes are made through
the Registrar’s Office using the Change of Registration form, and additional
signatures indicating approval are required.
A student may not normally add a course after the fifth day of the
semester. If a course is dropped during the first seven weeks, a
grade of W is recorded. If a course is dropped during the eighth
through 12th weeks, a grade of WP or WF is recorded. A course dropped
after the 12th week of classes will be marked WF, except for a valid
reason
such
as prolonged illness. Comparable dates are designated for the shorter
terms.

Advising and Course
Selection
Selection of the proper courses is the student’s responsibility. All
students have at their disposal the advice and counsel of faculty advisors.
Before registering for any semester, students must consult with their advisors
concerning their course selection.
