Every effort is made to promote spiritual wholeness for members
of the Dana community. A varied religious program under the supervision
of the Campus Pastor is provided for the entire academic community.
Chapel services are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings; on Wednesday
evenings an evening prayer service is held, followed by a brief communion
service. When special events are scheduled on campus (Homecoming,
Sights & Sounds, etc.), Sunday worship is provided. Students
are encouraged to worship in local congregations at other times.
Dana College is rooted in the traditions of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church of America. A vital element of this tradition is an openness
to the expression of other faiths, particularly within academic communities.
For this reason, the Campus Pastor and all who are involved in planning
worship and other campus ministry activities, strive to be sensitive
to the needs of an ecumenical community
Opportunities for faithful learning, service, and fellowship—both
for individuals and within a community of faith—are elements
of the spiritual life offered all Dana students.
