The educational process at Dana College is founded on Christian
ideals and is committed not only to intellectual growth and the search
for truth but also to the development of such attributes as integrity,
human dignity and concern for others. The regulation of student conduct
is seen as essential to the College’s educational purpose and
community life. The major emphasis of any student disciplinary action
is the education and development of the student for responsible citizenship
and the protection of the right of other students to participate
fully in the educational process.
All students are responsible for their individual and group behavior,
as well as for the actions and conduct of their visitors and guests.
Students are admitted to Dana College with the understanding that
they will respect the rights and property of fellow students and
the College and exercise care and good judgment in all matters. Behavior
that is contrary to the college guidelines and expectations, or conduct
that is detrimental to other members of the campus community, is
subject to possible disciplinary action. The specific guidelines
for behavioral expectations and student conduct are found on-line
in the Student Handbook. Students may also pick up a printed copy
in the Student Life Office.
