Normally, a minimum of two chemistry courses will be taken each
year. A strong high school preparation in natural science and mathematics
is expected of potential chemistry majors. The 54-credit chemistry
major consists of the following classes:
- General Chemistry I
- General Chemistry II
- Quantitative Analysis I
- Organic Chemistry I
- Organic Chemistry II
- Physical Chemistry I
- Instrumental Analysis
- Research in Chemistry
- College Physics I
- College Physics II
- Calculus I
- Calculus II
- Biology I
- Biochemistry
General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II
and four credits of additional Chemistry electives at the 200 level
or above make up the 20-credit
Chemistry minor.
