Vikings Sign Eight Cross Country Recruits

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College men’s and women’s cross country and track teams announced the signing of eight runners of national letters intent on Monday.  Joining the Vikings for the 2008-2009 season are Nicholas Anderson (Yutan, NE), Joel Beckman (Plattsmouth, NE), Matt Dilocker (Missouri Valley, IA), Nathan Gaunt (Griswold, IA), Daniel Happel (Yutan, NE), Nathan Jones (Manhattan, KS), Nathan Rios (Lexington, NE), and Sadie Fisher (Lehigh, IA).

Coach Marc Bierbaum is in his first season as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country program.  Coach Allen Friesen is in his fifth year as the Head Track Coach.

Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings are members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference and the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
