The Elementary/Special Education major at Dana is designed especially for students who wish to work with special education in K–6 grades. Graduates are endorsed to teach in regular elementary classrooms and K–12 special education classrooms. This flexibility makes graduates with this major so sought after, they can often pick and choose from positions at different schools.

Dana's well-known reputation for turning out high-quality teachers comes from a commitment from our excellent faculty to mentorship and hands-on experience in the classroom starting as early as the freshman year.
