Dana College is seeking an Assistant Professor of Special Education, beginning August 2007.

Qualifications:
• Masters Degree, Doctorate preferred in special education or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Must hold a teaching licensure or be eligible to obtain one.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience in special education (K – 12 Mild and Moderate public school settings)
• The ability to advise and mentor students.
• The ability to use instructional technology applications.

Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate courses in special education.
• Direct Disability Services for the College.
• Advise students.
• Supervise student teaching.
• Sponsor local CEC chapter.
• Engage in collaborative activities with cooperating schools.
• Serve on unit and college committees as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
