Senior Mara Bartlett stars in The Last Flapper, Jan. 16 & 17
The
Dana College Theatre will present senior Mara Bartlett in
The Last Flapper, at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 16 and 17, in the Lauritzen
Theatre, Madsen Fine Arts Center
on the college’s campus in Blair, Neb.The performance is free and
open to the public.
Bartlett will play the character Zelda Fitzgerald, wife
of The Great Gatsby
author F. Scott Fitzgerald, in the form of a monologue. The play glimpses
into this
free-spirited woman’s last day of life in a psychiatric hospital
as Zelda confronts the devils that are driving her.
The performance serves
as Bartlett’s Advanced Acting Project and her
Morton Scholar Honors Program Presentation. She has been a lead performer
for the Dana
College Theatre during her entire collegiate career. |
