Peter H. Fogtdal, author of "The Dreamer from Palestine" to
present
Best-selling Danish author Peter H. Fogtdal will give
a free presentation on “The Dreamer from Palestine,” at
7 p.m., March 31, in The Forum, Margre Henningson Durham Center
on Dana College’s campus in Blair, Neb. The public is
warmly invited to attend.
Fogtdal, a former television writer,
is the author of many
Danish books, but is best known for “The Dreamer from
Palestine,” which
is set during the rescue of Danish Jews in World War II.
The book was a smash hit in Denmark in 1998–99, went
through several editions and earned Fogtdal his first recognition
as
a “serious novelist.”
Fogtdal’s appearance
at Dana is sponsored by The Danish Immigrant Museum in Elk
Horn, Iowa, through a grant from Dennis Andersen of Atlanta,
Ga., and
support from Dana College.
