Dr. Claire Bushong, Assistant Professor of Music, teaches piano and organ, music theory, history, and church music courses at Dana College and is Coordinator of Chapel Music. An active recitalist and church musician, she is an organist at Sinai Lutheran Church in Fremont, and currently serves as Dean of the Omaha chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

She is the Music Review Editor for Cross Accent, journal of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians. She served for four years as Nebraska Synod Coordinator for Leadership Program for Musicians and is also professionally active as a member of Music Teachers National Association and its Nebraska and Omaha affiliate organizations.

Her biography appears in the current edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Dr. Bushong was awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1998. Other degrees include Master of Music in piano performance from the University of Tulsa, and Bachelor of Music in piano performance as well as Bachelor of Music Education from Phillips University.
