Academic scholarships are awarded to recognize a student’s
academic ability. You may receive both an Academic Achievement Award
and a Presidential Scholarship.
Presidential Scholarships
These awards are based on the results of an on-campus competition
held in November and February each year. To be eligible, a student
must
be a high school senior who has been accepted for admission. Eligibility
requirements include a 25 ACT composite and a 3.5 grade point
average.
Presidential scholarship recipients are
eligible
for limited amounts of Athletic and/or Performing Arts scholarships.
Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship
If you are a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, have
a cumulative college GPA of at least 3.5, 45 semester hours of
transferable college credit and plan to enroll at Dana full time,
you will be eligible for a $14,000 annual scholarship.
Renewal Requirements for all Academic Scholarships
- Scholarships ranging from $0 - $4,999 require a 3.0 cumulative
GPA each year.
- Scholarships ranging from $5,000 – $7,499 require a 3.25
cumulative GPA each year.
- Scholarships ranging from $7,500+ require a 3.50 cumulative
GPA each year.
Cumulative GPAs are reviewed annually each June to determine if
the renewal requirement is met. If the eligibility requirement is
not met, it is still possible for a student to earn his or her scholarship
back the following June, assuming the GPA requirement is met. |
