International Study & Travel Fund
Initial funding from The Honorable Paul Simon, former US Senator
and member of the Dana College Board of Regents, has made it possible
to create an International Travel and Study Fund for Dana College
students.
Students may apply for an interest-free loan to assist with individual
or group travel and study abroad. Students will have a moral obligation
to pay funds as soon as possible after graduation so that funding
can be reutilized for future Dana students.
Funds may be used for semester, interim, or summer travel. A limited
number of loans will be available each year. The range of funds
will depend upon the number of applicants. Funds will not be available
for institutionally subsidized travel such as Chorale, Band, or
Athletic tours.
Criteria used for selection includes quality of application, faculty
recommendation, academic achievement and financial need. Recipients
must be able to return to Dana for at least one year of study after
their study abroad experience and will share study abroad insights
with the campus and community.
