Lavelle to Join Viking Football

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Football team announced David Lavelle has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Vikings in 2008.  Lavelle is a linebacker at Lincoln Southwest High School.  He is the son of Brian and Cindy Lavelle and plans to major in Business while at Dana College.

Lavelle is a two-time All-City and All-State award winner.  He also was named to the Lincoln Southwest honor role every semester.

“David will be a great fit on our defense and special teams,” commented Head Coach Bill Danenhauer.  “We are very excited that David has chosen Dana College to continue his academic and athletic career.”

The Vikings finished the 2008 season with a record of 4-7.  Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  They participate in the Great Plaines Athletic Conference and a member of the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
