Bill Danenhauer is in his fourth year as head coach of the
Dana College Vikings. Danenhauer began working at Dana College
as offensive coordinator in 2001. He was promoted to assistant
head coach in 2002. He also serves as athletic director.
The former NFL and USFL player was an all-conference tackle at
the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1980. Danenhauer played for
the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Colts during his NFL
career and for the Boston Breakers in the USFL. Danenhauer
coached at the collegiate level at Washburn University in
Topeka, Kan., and St. Cloud University in St. Cloud, Minn.
Danenhauer spent
some time away from coaching and wrestled in Ted
Turner’s W.C.W. Danenhauer was mostly known as Dave Sullivan
who was also known as “Evad” (Dave spelled backwards).
He won the W.C.W. tag team championship with his partner Kevin
Sullivan. Danenhauer wrestled with and against other well
known wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and Ric Flair to
name a few.
Bill and his wife, Donna, live in Omaha with their two children
Blake and Zack.
