Viking Football Announces First Recruits

The Dana College football team released its initial signing class for the 2008 season.  Coach Bill Danenhauer was excited about the large number of early recruits.

“This is the largest number of early commits that we have had, since I took over the program,” commented Coach Danenhauer.

The Viking coaching staff is excited about the arrival of running back Terrill Banks.  Banks is a transfer running back from the University of South Dakota.  Banks is expected to be an immediate impact player for the Viking Air Strike offense.  Jacob Haniszewski of Omaha Roncalli and Joel Byerly of Littleton, Colorado are expected to help out on defense and special teams right away right away.

“We are very excited with this class as a whole,” commented Danenhauer.  “They will give us good building blocks as we continue building our program.”

The Vikings finished last season with a 4-7 overall record and were 3-7 in GPAC play.  Coach Bill Danenhauer is in his fifth year at the head of the Viking football program.
