The Dana College History Department offers scholarships of up to $5000 annually for students majoring in History. The amount awarded to individual students will be determined by the History Department faculty based on an essay on the importance of history in the 21st century, an on-campus interview with a member of the History Department, ACT score and high school grade point average.

The award is renewable for all four years contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 grade point average in History (a minimum overall grade point average must also be attained), active involvement in the History Club, and satisfactory progress toward the History degree.

Any student interested in learning more about the History Department Scholarship may contact a member of the History Department faculty, Dr. Iain Anderson (402-426-7244) or Dr. Stewart Brewer (402-426-7240) or an admissions counselor.

Review of applications and awarding of scholarships will begin after March 1, 2006.
