Campus activities while at Dana:
Career Achievements:
I graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in May
of 2003. I was able to make the Dean's List, which was a real
challenge.
How did Dana help prepare you for your career or graduate
school?
Dana did an excellent job educationally speaking. What most
overlook though, is that Dana teaches their students how to
express
themselves and communicate
with others effectively. Teamwork was also an essential part
of playing basketball at Dana. Being able to explain pharmaceuticals
to patients
and working together
with a health care team is an essential part of being a pharmacist.
Dr. (Therese) Michels and Dr. (Scott) Morgan taught me well,
and
I found
pharmacy to be
a great application of their teachings.
What do remember most
about your time at Dana?
My friends will always be the best part of my life, and you
will make some of the best friends ever while going to
college at
Dana. The instructors
and professor
were also more like friends than just teachers. The professors
always did
an excellent job. For example, I can never remember a time
when an instructor would not take the time to make sure
I understand the
material or answer
any
questions
I had outside of class. Actually, a couple of chemistry
professors allowed me to call them at home if I needed to ask
them questions.
I will always
love and
think of my chemistry professors. This should give you
some idea
of how much they mean to me and the respect I will always
have for them.
