Career Achievements:
I have been flying jet aircraft for 35 years. Right after college, went into the US Air Force basic and officer training. After pilot training in Texas, flew four-engine jets from Travis Air Force Base, California, to Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Korea and occasionally to Europe. After Vietnam and while still flying for the Air Force Reserve, was hired by Pacific Southwest Airline (PSA) of San Diego to fly passengers in the Boeing 727, Lockheed Electra, British Aerospace 146, DC-9 and MD-80. In 1986, US Airways announced its purchase of PSA and subsequent merger. For a few years after the merger, I flew Boeing 737s. The past 10 years I have been an international captain and check pilot on both the Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft flying primarily North Atlantic routes between the United States and Europe.
