In 10 years, I will be…
Hopefully, I will be married with a few boys and either being a stay-at-home
mom or an art teacher in a rural community school, growing closer everyday on
my walk with the Lord.
What's the coolest thing you've done since you began attending
Dana?
I think that being done with finals and then having a 24-hour movie marathon
with friends and eating tons of horribly fattening and unhealthy foods was
a classic, as well as getting to perform on the dance team for basketball half-time
entertainment.
Why did you choose Dana?
I chose to come to Dana because it was a smaller, more intimate
community (and that is what I am used to) and the campus
was clean. The people seemed to actually
care about how I did and the professors were extremely friendly. I also like
it because it was close, but far enough away that I could be independent.
What
will you remember most about your time at Dana?
I will remember the people and times we shared. I will
remember how Sarah, the cook, was like a second mother
to me, always approving or disapproving
of the
outfit I had on (as well as everyone else in the cafeteria), and Professor
Olsen's enthusiastic (yet corny -- a bit) hello for the day and my friends
who love and
support me.
What's the best thing about living on campus?
I love the fact that I don't have to call my parents every
10 minutes to tell them when I'll be home. It's such a
relief. I can walk in and walk
out and
keep moving in my life without having to check in. You also meet a lot
of people, and it's convenient for getting to places.
What do you and
your friends enjoy doing?
We like to hang out and laugh or go shopping or just
go 'out' in general. There's always something going on,
whether it be ice cream parties, dress-up-and-take-pictures
sessions or late-night runs to No Frills. Life is never boring.
What
college class has been the most fun for you and why?
It sounds crazy, but I really enjoy Professor Olsen's Art
History classes. He is so passionate and energetic about
sharing with us art across
the times, and
I also really enjoy seeing all the different styles and works accomplished.
What's
the best thing about being a student at Dana?
I love the fact that I can smile and say hi to anyone and
not feel like an idiot (because they'll smile back!) and
just knowing everyone. |
