In 10 years, I will be…
I will be a high school teacher, counselor or administrator.

What's the coolest thing you've done since you began attending Dana?
I'm really involved in Student Activities. It's always so much fun to see the events that the committees come up with and then watch them come together. Almost all of the events are totally student organized, giving each of us a great way to participate in leadership positions, not to mention have fun and meet practically everyone on campus.

Another really awesome experience I've had at Dana would be traveling to Spain. Over Discovery Term there are several opportunities to travel to all sorts of places all over the world. Last year I went to Spain; this year I'm going to England. I honestly never thought I would get this type of opportunity, but last year I was in Barcelona, Madrid, Seville … They are truly opportunities of a lifetime.

Why did you choose Dana?
I knew I would get a lot of one-on-one attention, and being from a small town high school, that was really important to me. I also really like the small community feel that we have here on campus. Everyone knows you and is always willing to help you out in any way they can. I also felt like the faculty and staff were some of the best from the colleges I'd been to. Everyone was really supportive and easy to speak with. With their help, I'll graduate with (basically) a triple major in only four years!

What's the best thing about being a student at Dana?
All the great opportunities that have been afforded me in both my academic and professional life, not to mention my personal life.

What will you remember most about your time at Dana?
All of the great laughs with friends, the events like Homecoming and Winterfest, and the people — I'll never forget the people!

What's the best thing about living on campus?
I live in Mickelsen, on fourth floor. We have a pretty close-knit group of girls that are always there for one of us. Each year, you get to know these people and they become your family. Without them, there would be a lot more lonely nights and weekends. Plus, being on campus gives you access to a lot of really great activities — sports games, intramurals, and events put on by Student Activities. All of these are great ways to get to know more people and make your experience at Dana that much better.

What do you and your friends enjoy doing?
What do we NOT enjoy doing? Everything — going to an event on campus, watching movies with friends, staying up late laughing and talking about what makes us us, playing cards, going for walks, trekking to Omaha to go to Wal-Mart or the Orpheum, anything!

What college class has been the most fun for you and why?
Hands down: Shakespeare. I learned so many valuable tidbits that have already helped me in many of my classes. The peers and the professor that were in the class only made it that much better. I knew EVERYONE in there (there were only 15 of us), making it a comfortable environment where we could really delve into the topic and explore what Shakespeare was all about. Our final rocked, too (and you can't say that can't say that about too many classes). We put on a Shakespearean Evening where each student either acted out a scene, made props and sets, shared a critical analysis or publicized. Everyone really enjoyed it.
