In 10 years, I will be…
I have hopes of getting some high-paying job dealing with computers in one way
or another, and possibly starting a family.
What's the coolest thing you've done
since you began attending Dana?
It's a tossup between Dana Commando and building a computer in Assembly Language.
Dana Commando is kind of like capture the flag only the object is to get as
many people on your team as possible to sneak into the opponent's base without
getting
tagged.
Why did you choose Dana?
My decision to come to Dana was a tough one. I was awarded
the UNO Regent Scholarship, which was full tuition, and
I was leaning toward UNO. Then, I approached Shad
Beam (Head Men's Soccer Coach) and asked him to give me a shot in the program,
even though I never played high school ball. I ended up with one of the top
Presidential Scholarships, and also received a soccer and instrumental scholarship.
I felt
that the small campus atmosphere, the chance to play soccer, and the financial
aid I received outweighed what I would have gotten at UNO.
What will you remember
most about your time at Dana?
Being on the men's soccer traveling team.
What's the best
thing about living on campus?
I would say the best thing about living on campus would
be getting away from the family. I love them to death,
but, man, they can get annoying.
What do you and your
friends enjoy doing?
Hanging out pretty much. Watch movies, video games,
we set up Halo tournaments occasionally.
What college
class has been the most fun for you and why?
Favorite class? Isn't that an oxymoron? I am a student,
it's my job to go to class, not to like them. I
guess the class that I disliked the
least would
have been my Intro to Computer Science. We got an introduction to
the programming language Java in there. It was just easy
for me to understand,
and the
smaller class size helped a little because Dr. Solheim was able to
get everyone more
involved in class. |
