I am currently in four different organizations. I am the president of the Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA), the vice president of the Criminal Justice Organization, the secretary of the Young Democrats and the event coordinator of the Social Awareness Organization (SAO).

In 10 years, I will be…
I hope that in 10 years I will have completed in getting a master's in social work (MSW), and I hope to be working at Child Protective Services (CPS).

What's the coolest thing you've done since you began attending Dana?
The best thing I have done since being at Dana College is joining organizations and meeting new people. This has given me a chance to challenge and broaden my perceptions and point of view.

Why did you choose Dana?
I chose to come to Dana because of the outstanding social work program.

What will you remember most about your time at Dana?
I will remember most about my time at Dana is being able to meet new people and establishing great friendships.

What's the best thing about living on campus?
The best thing about living on campus is being close to all your friends.

What do you and your friends enjoy doing?
My friends and I enjoy going to movies and hanging out and just talking and having a good time.

What college class has been the most fun for you and why?
My favorite class that I have taken is Introduction to Social Work my freshman year. I really enjoyed this class because it reassured me that I was making the correct decision in majoring in social work. This class also gave me an insight to all the different career choices I will have with a bachelor of social work degree (BSW).

What kind of internship experiences have you gotten through Dana College?
During Discovery Term in 2005, I did an internship at Child Protective Services in Omaha. It gave me an excellent chance to see the work that CPS workers do. This was a great learning experience for me and I am thankful for the opportunity.
