Jan. 8, 2006

The lead changed four times in the final two and a half minutes of Tuesday night’s men’s basketball game between Dana College and Concordia University.

Dana’s Trent Mumma sank a three-pointer with 2:21 left in the game to give Dana the lead 62-61. After a Vikings timeout, Concordia scored a three and regained the lead 64-62.

Jason Isaacson (Council Bluffs, Iowa) drove the ball in for two for Dana and was fouled on the way to the hoop. He makes his free throw. Dana takes a one point lead 65-64.

Concordia answered with a quick basket. Dana drove back down the court, but their momentum was halted by a controversial traveling call. The turnover allowed Concordia to score two more unanswered points. Dana, then down by three, attempted two three-point shots in the final seconds but missed both. Concordia took home the win 68-65.

Mark Esser (Woodbine, Iowa) had a double-double in the game. He scored 22 points and 10 rebounds. Isaacson led the Vikings with 27 points.

Dana travels to Grace University in Omaha Thursday night
