Nov. 22, 2005 Dana center Mark Esser (Woodbine, Iowa) scored a double-double Tuesday night against Doane College. Esser had 23 points and 12 rebounds. The Vikings, however, were again defeated on their home court in Blair. A 69-65 loss to Doane moves Dana’s GPAC record to 0-2.

Doane had the edge at halftime 32-29. Dana trailed Doane in the second half until Rob Cox (Hawley, Minn.) converted a Doane turnover into a slam dunk to tie the score at 50 with seven minutes remaining. But the rally sparked by the dunk was short lived. A Viking foul and then a turnover put Dana down by four again. The Vikings could not catch the Tigers.

Jason Isaacson (Council Bluffs, Iowa) scored 24 points. Cox scored eight points and five rebounds.

Dana travels to the University of Nebraska, Kearney Saturday. Game time is 7:30pm.
