CHRISTENSEN SIGNS WITH dana college

 

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Men’s Basketball team announced the signing of Dallis Christensen to a national letter of intent on Monday.  Christensen is a wing player from Minden High School in Minden, Nebraska.  He is the son of Kent and Jane Christensen.  Christensen plans to major in Sports Management during his athletic and academic career at Dana College.

 

“Dana has my major,” commented Christensen on his choice of Dana College.  “It is not too far away from home and I get to play fur more years of basketball.  I am looking forward to playing with new guys and meeting new people.”

 

Christensen averaged 11 points and 7.5 rebounds during his high school career at Minden High School.  He was a second team all-conference and an Honorable Mention All-State performer as a junior and senior.

 

“I am very pleased to have Dallis join the Viking basketball family,” commented Head Coach Chris Fear.  “He is an athletic wing player who can run the floor and is an excellent defender. Our staff is excited about Dallis’ future.”

 

Dana finished the year 15-17 overall and 7-11 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.  Coach Chris Fear is in his eighth season as the head coach for Dana College. 

 

Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings participate in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and are members of the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
