FAIDLEY SIGNS WITH dana college

 

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Men’s Basketball team announced the signing of Anthony Faidley to a national letter of intent on Monday.  Faidley is a three-year letter winner in basketball at Kofa High School.  He is the son of Richard and Carla Faidley.  Faidley plans to major in Education, Math and Science during his athletic and academic career at Dana College.

 

“I chose to attend Dana to learn at an institution that was student focused and faith based,” commented Faidley on his choice of Dana College.  “I am looking forward to developing lifelong friendships with my team.  I look forward to the challenges of competing at the collegiate level as well as attending an institution with strong values.”

 

“I am very pleased to welcome Anthony Faidley to the Viking Basketball family,” commented Head Coach Chris Fear.  “Anthony is a long, athletic player who has been very productive in high school. He has played against excellent competition in high school and will be a big contributor for Dana in his time here. “

 

Faidley averaged 19 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in his during his career at Kofa High School.  He also earned two varsity letters in volleyball.  Faidley was named the Yuma Sun-Rotary Basketball Player-of-the-Year and earned first team all region and Honorable Mention All-State honors as a senior.  His resume in the classroom is equally impressive as on the field of play.  He has been a member of the academic honor roll each of the past two years.

 

Dana finished the year 15-17 overall and 7-11 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.  Coach Chris Fear is in his eighth season as the head coach for Dana College.  Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings participate in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and are members of the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
