Vikings Fall in Quarterfinals

The men’s basketball travelled to Sioux City, Iowa on Thursday to square off against Morningside College.  The Vikings fell 77-56 to the top-ranked Mustangs.

The Vikings kept the Mustangs within striking distance in the first half, but was unable to pull any closer.  Morningside held Dana to 26.9-percent shooting in the second half as they stretched their lead to 21 points by the end of the game. 

Jon Person (JR, Olathe, KS) led the Vikings with 15 points and seven rebounds.  Eric Maassen (JR, Hancock, IA) added 12 points and pulled down nine boards.  Trent Albers (SR, Davenport, NE) chipped in eight points and had four rebounds.

The Vikings end their season with a 15-17 record.
