MOTTER SIGNS WITH dana college

 

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Men’s Basketball team announced the signing of Matt Motter to a national letter of intent on Wednesday.  Motter is a four-year letter winner at Yutan High School.  He is the son of Tom and Linda Motter.  Motter plans to major in Information Systems Management during his athletic and academic career at Dana College.

 

“Dana is a great school and is close to home,” commented Motter on his choice of Dana College.  “I am looking forward to playing with a team that has a lot of potential and team chemistry.”

 

“I am very pleased to welcome Matt to the Dana Viking family,” commented Head Basketball Coach Chris Fear.  “Matt is a quality young man and a great competitor. We look forward to his efforts in our basketball program and contributions on campus.”

 

Motter averaged eight points, two assists, and two rebounds over his career at Yutan High School.  He was a three-time All-Conference selection and was named to the All-Omaha Area team for the past two years.

 

Dana finished the year 15-17 overall and 7-11 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.  Coach Chris Fear is in his eighth season as the head coach for Dana College.  Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings participate in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and are members of the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
