Dana College students are involved in community service projects which are coordinated throughout the academic year. For instance, last year Dana students traveled to the Gulf-Coast to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Students also reach out to local congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, assisting with worship leadership, providing special musical anthems in worship, leading youth retreats and lock-ins. Students support the ministries of local congregations even as those congregations support Dana College's ministry.
