The Reverend Frank E. Philipp of Blair, Nebraska, is an
ordained minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
He was named interim campus pastor at Dana in the fall of 2007.
He was
raised in Northeastern Iowa, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree
in Speech and Drama from Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa,
and a Master of Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary,
Dubuque,
Iowa.
During his almost 28 years of ministry he has served
as a called pastor in four churches in Iowa and provided
interim ministry in 5 congregations and one campus ministry.
He was
certified
as a Board Certified Chaplain of the Association of Professional
Chaplain in 2001. He has ministered in the hospitals of St.
Luke’s
Hospital and Mercy Medical Center, Sioux City, Iowa; Mercy
Medical System, Janesville, Wisconsin; The University of
Wisconsin Hospital
and Clinics, Madison, Wisconsin; and Alegent Health/Immanuel
Lutheran Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska.
Philipp is married
to Dr. Janet Philipp who is President of Dana College.
He is also the
Eastern Region Coordinator for Nebraska Lutheran Disaster
Response and serves the Nebraska Synod of the ELCA as Coordinator
of Specialized
Ministry.
His hobbies include amateur radio, wood working,
stained-glass, electronics, photography, trout fishing, landscaping
and
cooking. He enjoys classical music, movies, and reading.
He is the father
of two adult children, Michael and Laura. |
